I'd like to use this thread for everyone to suggest good places they have been and to give everyone an idea what they have come across that others may not know about. I'll start.

If you haven't been to the Biltmore House I highly suggest it if you like historical things. I went for the first time and I was highly impressed and blown away! It is gorgeous and I didn't think an estate like this could have been built so long ago. It's amazing. I saw the gardens and toured most of the rooms. All I can say is wow.

RDU observation park...went today and it was a beautiful day to sit and watch the planes and listen to air traffic control. Maybe. a little off the beaten path and geeky LOL but the kids enjoyed it too.

Fuquay Varina Flea Market. I haven't been in years, but it used to be fun. Very heavy hispanic influence there, good deals to be had, good people watching, and the concessions are usually (or at least used to be) good tacos and whatnot.

(There are so many things, I just posted one that it random.)

Company Mill Trail for a hike

I've been wanting to eat at Watkins Grill forever, which I would consider an attraction.

Eno Quarry for a swim (uber cool)

I like JC Raulston Arboretum, with lunch afterwards at Neomonde just up the street.

Watkins Grill, for sure. It is a slice of reality. Great trove of Civil War memorabilia, too.
