There is an old slave graveyard near the corner of Fall River Ave and Grassy Creek Place in the Falls River development. It is in a small gove of trees between two houses, near the road. Most of the graves are unmarked except for small red flags put there by (I think) the Historical Society who did a survery to identify the graves. They are from the mid 1800's when the area was a large farm. I believe they want to clean up the brush and properly mark each one some day.

I know where this is... when I read stuff like this it really makes me wonder about the people who lived here before us.... I'm assuming this was part of a plantation - does anybody know where the plantation home was located? Was it part of Wakefield?

There's a small family plot with a fence around it in Cary, off Lake Pine between Brookgreen and Helmsdale.

There is a small cemetary off of Optimist Farm Rd. right beside the fence for The Woods at Sunset Oaks in Holly Springs. I think there are about 3 or 4 headstones.
