I'd appreciate people's experiences and recommendations with Veterinarians in the Cary / Apex areas. We went to Mayfair for a number of years and found them to be ok, but not great. We have both dogs and cats.

(As an aside, we HIGHLY recommend NCSU College of Veterinary medicine. They're too expensive for general vet needs, but if you have serious health issues, they're the place to go. Not only is their expertise unparalleled, I was pleasantly surprised at the warm and personal attention. Highly professional. Very skilled. Top notch customer service)

We use West Cary Animal hospital. I have been pleasantly surprised by their prices. They are in the Harris Teeter Shopping center on the corner of NC55 and High House/Green Level West.

I've been using Animal Hospital Apex NC | Town & Country Veterinary Hospital for the past year or so. So far their prices are reasonable and they seem to be okay with more conservative treatment plans.

I highly recommend Town and Country. We use Dr. Merriman who has been terrific with our 2 dogs and and 1 cat.

I recommend Dr. Gene Bailey at the Animal Hospital of Peak Plaza. I have an 18 year old diabetic cat, and she's had a lot of vets over the years and the moves, and he's the best we've had. We miss him, but he's even been kind enough to consult with me since we moved. Animal Hospital Of Peak Plaza- Veterinarian- Gene Bailey, DVM

For the cats-Morrisville Cat Hospital-best vet I ever encountered(NCSU vet school alumni). I agree the Vet school is awesome and is is very advanced in treatments/technology.

For the pups I use VCA Animal Hospital on Hwy 55 with Dr. Dwight.
