Hi,

I would appreciate any suggestions on places for faxing locally. I went to Kinkos today & noticed that there faxes services are over $2.00 for the initial page and $1.99 for each additional. Tomorrow I need to fax some documents and wanted to see if there are any suggestions for somewhere preferably near RTP. Normally, I normally would use the fax at work, but I am working from home currently.

I will probably use UPS since there's is $1.50 for the first page and $1.00 each additional including the cover. I just don't want to end up paying over $20 to send a toll-free fax.

Thanks!!

I don't know if this would be suitable for your needs, but I use Free Fax • Free Internet Faxing for my faxes. The paid version allows you to send more pages with no ads. (It appears to be down temporarily though.)

Also, you may want to inquire at your local library.

If you can scan the pages, I'd sign up for one of the many online e-faxes available and send it that way as a PDF. Sfaxme.com offers a monthly plan for $9.

I can try that and I could e-mail it over if it's a PDF. I know there's a scanner in my business center, but I haven't used one in years. If it's easy to use that would be the best option. Thanks for the suggestion!!

If it is real estate related, I'm sure your real estate agent wouldn't mind you stopping by her office to use the fax machine!

what about a friend with an all-in-one copy machine? I have an HP all-in-one that I fax from right here at home through the phone line. Free & easy. Maybe ask around.

If you have a scanner, then the online services are great. Many are free (they send an advertisement on the first page in exchange). Or they charge a couple of bucks for 15 - 20 pages, which is what Kinkos is charging for your first page alone. Best of all, in my opinion, is no travel. Time is as precious to me as the $.
