If you've heard of any layoffs and/or hirings for the Triangle (Raleigh, Cary, Durham, CH, etc) please put them here. This includes rumors of future hirings/layoffs.

I'm going to start this off. I've heard that recently MetLife has been on a hiring binge.

Also, somewhat recently there were some layoffs at IBM

Last month the company I work for fired a guy - it was performance related, not a layoff. We also hired a couple people.
