Hi there,

I am looking for a good place to take my car to (it's not driving that well (If I put it on D it won't go unless I put it on 3. Every once in a while it will drive on D though.). I feel like there must be a problem with the transmission...?

Where would you take your car for this type of issue?

I live within the beltline but can also take it out of the BL. I need a reliable not too pricey place.

THANK YOUU!!!!

I have not used this person yet but was looking around a few months ago because I thought I needed someone to work on my dead battery. I found several good reviews for Tobola Automotive on Wake Forest Rd (corner of Whitaker Mill, across from Snoopy's) and called George Tobola in a panic. He was very nice and promised to stay open until I could get my car there. Turns out I didn't need him but I have kept him info and plan to use him in the future. Good, detailed reviews on yelp and citysearch. Have a friend who uses Premium Imports across the street and likes them as well.

I recommend Creech Import Repair without any second thoughts. Repairs are reasonably priced, they're trustworthy (been in business for 20 years), and they routinely do well in The Indy's "Best of." My wife and I both take our cars to them and have never felt like they were taking us for a ride. All repairs are explained well and options are explained. They're also more than willing to take "maybe later" as a response for a non-critical repair that they suggest.

If it's a Honda or Acura, I highly recommend Dale Radcliffe. He is one that was recommended to me years ago on these boards and I have always found him to be fairly-priced, reliable, and trustworthy with my Hondas.

He's located just off of Lake Wheeler Road near the beltline. If you are coming from the farmers market direction, cross 440 and take the first left.

Might want to be sure transmission fluid is full.

If tranny is gone, see if rest of car is worth the cost. Might be better to trade.
