YAY! Wonderful wonderful news. And yes please adopt! My pupster is from the Wake County shelter. They were filled to the brim with really great dogs and cats.

So sad to hear the shelter situation here. I can't believe it's that bad that there really isn't a place here to take in strays. I can't tell you the number of strays we took into the shelter in WI. There the found animals were held for 7 days to see if they were claimed,and if not, they were sent to the humane society for adoption-if they were adoptable.
One of our cats is a former stray and one is from our old local humane society. With stories like this, I hope more people look to the shelters/rescue groups when searching for a new pet.
