Here are some links from msn.com regarding the most overrated, best thing and biggest secret in the RTP area.
First of all, I find it interesting that they identify Raleigh-Durham as one place and use RDU (the airport designation) constantly to refer to it as such. In any case, I thought these would elicit agreement and disagreement on this board.
The most overrated thing they identify is Streets of Southpoint in Durham
The best thing they identify is Pullen Park in Raleigh
The biggest secret, New Hope Valley Railroad, is something that I didn't even know existed! I think I want to take one of these rides one day!
Not sure when this survey was done but I find it kind of funny they recommend going to the Starlight Drive-in. "catch a movie at the Starlite Drive-In (the kids are real)".
The Starlite closed down almost 8 months ago after the owner passed away!
That's too funny. I constantly see reviews for restaurants, clubs, etc. as "must go's" in Miami Beach that have also been closed.
I hope that the New Hope Railroad is still there! :-)

The lady, who was the same one in each link, says you can spend all day shopping at Southpoint, but then says it's only something to do if you're dreary-bored?? She must not be very fond of shopping
I was glad to see her link to the railway, I'd been meaning to look into their Santa Trains.
Has anyone done the New Hope Valley RR Santa train?
I just started a thread asking the same thing
