I need some window screens made. I just moved into a new place and several windows dont have screens on them. I'm used to calling the glass company down the street and having them come over for free to measure and make the screens for $30 each(and that was in the "expensive" North East). I'm hoping to find a similar company here in the Durham area.

Durham glass doesnt make screens
Rice Glass wanted $125 to come out and just measure! Good grief thats ridiculous.

Anyone know of a reasonable priced company? Its coming on Fall and I would like to open the windows

Thanks in advance!

Lowes or HD have services that do this for you if you measure yourself.

I have no idea how to measure windows for screens which is why I always had the screen company come over to do the measuring in the past.

it's also pretty likely that your windows are standard sizes and Lowes or HD will just have screens that fit them in stock at the store.

Actually no mine are not standard sized as this was a custom home I moved into with some very weird windows. And I am actually too short to be able to get to some of the windows as I am a short female lol I use a broom handle to push up windows

I would get someone to measure them, call in the order to the place back in the NE and pick them up next time you visit!! Or go to Home Depot with the measurements and get custom screens made.... or maybe this website... Custom Window Screens once you have the measurements.

Rice's Glass is awesome for glass, but they are not cheap.

Just ask the people at HD/Lowes. They'll give you instructions.
