My mom is an avid quilter but wants to connect and make new friends with fellow quilters. She's reached out to some groups but they've all told her that they're too full to take on new members. Meetup.com hasn't yielded any results at all, so I'm hoping to find leads here.
We live in Raleigh but my mom is willing to drive anywhere in the triangle to join a group!
I would strongly suggest that she contact the ladies at Patchwork Memories to see about one of their groups. Its a quilt shop and quilt making company and they offer classes and bees too. They have made 3 quilts for us and we are over the moon impressed with the business, the employees and the quilts that they display.
Maybe you want to START a quilting bee at Scrap Exchange in Durham.
