Hi all,

Does anyone know of a good computer repair person/business with decent prices in the N. Raleigh area? I'd be willing to travel anywhere in Wake County, actually.

I've never had a computer looked at before, so I have no idea what a reasonable price should be, and I don't want to get swindled. LOL.

Would love to support a small business.

Thanks in advance.

Please private message the OP. We've never had a computer repair thread on here that was full of anything but advertising (which violates the terms of service).

To the OP. Be leery of any new members who message you.

Most computer problems are software or virus problems. I suggest starting your computer in safe mode and running a good virus program or two. Windows 7 already has a start up repair program built in and there is always system restore.

If you are running XP
Repair Windows XP by Performing a Repair Install (Part 1 of 2)

Hardware problems start with the power supply because newer hard drives usually do not fail.

Also check to see if your memory is fully inserted into the slots.

You can google all this info.
