A friend and I will be coming into town next weekend and we're looking for music similar to
Jamie Campbell Bower - Better Man - YouTube ... If anyone knows any place that has stuff like this going on that would be awesome. We're also looking for some good clubs to go out to afterward so if there is a place that has them in walking distance and a nice hotel within a decent distance that would be PERFECT... Anyone? Thanks in advance.. Safe areas only please.

Coffee shops around here don't tend to do these sorts of things. I don't know if it's because of lack of space or lack of interest from customers.

Solas on Lead Mine Road in Raleigh is a coffee shop that frequently has good music. Right across the parking lot is the Sawmill Tavern (standard American) and Gonza Tacos y Tequila which is always busy.

This was my first suggestion as well. Sola usually has some great live music every Friday and Saturday starting around 7:3opm. Music style varies each week so check the schedule to see if the performer suits your taste.

Actually, it has more to do with the enforcement of copyrights and the high fees for small business owners to offer live music (Legit). Enforcement in this area has been unusually strong. I know several local places that wanted to offer music but can't afford to do it...

Thank you ASCAP and BMI.

We love Brad Benson - he's going to be at O'Malley's Fri night and Hibernian in North Raleigh Sat night.
