My house has a leak problem starting Jun/July this year. When it rains, water comes into the corner of the room on the first floor. The wet starts from the corner and spreads out (see the attached photo). My floor got damaged, so I removed the wood floor and cut the wall open. I found that water leaks around my gutter, hits the side wall, and make the wall very wet (photo). But I do not know how water leak inside the house? You can see what happened from the attached photo, which was taken on a rainy day.

Does anyone knows what is the problem? Could you recommend a good inspector/contractor in this area to check my gutter, roof or outside wall leak?

Thank you very much

I would start with calling my insurance agent. After they tell you you're not covered they should be able to recommend a contractor to fix the problem.

I agree. Water damage to an insurance company equals the potential for mold/mildew. In addition if you file a claim it will end up on the "clue" report. Never call an insurance company unless the repair equates to a severe financial burden!

You need to contact a roofer and find out what is going on. ARC is highly recommended. By the way, I assuming your gutters are clean and properly pitched.

Yup. The only purpose of insurance is to make whole again after a catastrophic incident. Home owner's insurance is also a "use it and loose it" policy.
