Do you insure an auto?

Dwelling policies are often rife with fraud, so agents usually like to make sure the whole thing is on the up-and-up.

Auto Owners does. I had policies on my rentals through them when I used to be a landlord.

My old roommate is an insurance agent, at an independent agency, and he said that Auto Owners is about the only one that won't make you bundle it in with car insurance. The insurance companies claim too much risk/exposure to write it competitively, although one might suspect that they are just greedy. Albeit, If they WON'T write the policies at all, then I tend to believe there is some truth there. Contact an independent agent (not one that writes exclusively for State Farm or Allstate or whatever), ideally one that also handles commercial work, as they generally have access to a lot more markets for different situations (i.e, I don't think State Farm would insure someone that has a wood stove; an independent agent could tap into any number of insurance companies.)

Erie does it. I have two landlord policies (that are commercial policies), a homeowners policy, and an umbrella policy through them. I could cancel any/all of these individually - there is no dependency on one another.

Auto is Allstate.

DM me if you'd like my agent's name.

You probably went to all the captive insurance companies like Allstate and state farm. you need to find an 'independent' insurance agency that specializes in real estate.
good luck!
