Kitties have already been enjoying the gas fireplace and we've had the heat set to kick on as needed. We don't have any particular desire to be uncomfortable in our home just to adhere to a date on which we can turn on the heat.

Benefit of living in a center unit townhome ... 1am, and my indoor temp is still at 75. No heat needed.

I put on a facade about saving money by not turning the heat on, but the truth is I like it cold. I'm perfectly happy sitting watching tv in shorts and a sweatshirt at 63 degrees.

If we stay gray and damp all day, and the temps don't get above 65, the heat will be on.

My wife likes it cool inside year round. My programmable thermostat is set to AUTO, with heat temp set on 67*. My downstairs heat was running for the first time this morning when I came downstairs at 6:30am.

It was 68 this morning and I turned on the heat... only put it on 70 though, and then turned back to 68 before I left for work.
