Hello,
I'm trying to figure out the name and specific location of a low-key mexican restaurant that I went to in the spring with some friends. It seems like it was diagonally off the R5 stop at Glenwood/Tucker and up from The Cupcake Shop.
Can anyone help me fill in the blanks? Hoping to take the kids on an adventure tomorrow around Raleigh after visiting the science museum.
Thanks!

Armadillo Grill since it's pretty much the only Mexican place on Glenwood:

Have fun this weekend.

Be sure to check out the new wing/building of the museum.

Actually, Armadillo Grill isn't the only one anymore.

Dos Taquitos has a place there now and it's fabulous. This is the one you want to take kids to. They have a train that delivers chips and salsa. My five year old wants to go every night--wish I could afford it.

I forgot about that place, haven't made it to their new location. If it's anything like the location in North Raleigh it's probably awesome.

Either way though. Armadillo and Dos Taquitos are good eats.

Did you end up taking them out & about? My husband & I had a low-key in-town celebration for our anniversary by having brunch at Buku & then heading over to the science museum for the new Birds of Paradise exhibit. We really enjoyed the exhibit. Hope you & your family had a great time.

We delayed because of the drizzle. My trio is curious about transportation (we've done the Amtrax ride to Durham a couple of times, light rail on our Denver vacation) so I think that they'll get a kick out of cruising around downtown Raleigh on the R line. Could be an eye opener both inside and outside! Plan on eating cheap Mexican food and then walking up to the Cupcake Shop before catching the R line back to the museum.
Have to get creative when on a tight budget. The cupcakes will be our big splurge
Thanks for asking!
