The sign is up for the Sheetz at the intersection of Kit Creek/ Hwy 55 and they are also hiring for anyone interested!

I will appreciate having a gas station there, but I am looking forward most to the road improvements that come with this project. 3 southbound lanes of NC55 from Kit Creek all the way to NC540. Hopefully we also will get protected left turn phases from both directions of Kit Creek onto NC55.

Plans call for at least one retail outparcel, any idea what's going there?

My only complaint with Sheetz stations is the traffic they seem to generate, but this one would be extremely convenient for me. I drive Hwy 55 from Cary to Durham and back every day. Hopefully, the gas pricing would match the one at McCrimmon and 54 rather than the one at TW Alexander and Miami.

With Sheetz and Circle K opening, Dolphins and The Marathon will now (hopefully) have to be competitive instead of charging $0.15 more/gallon.

I passed by there today and I don't even remember seeing a Sheetz. Is it open? I went to the location at Chapel Hill Rd and McCrimmon today. They used to be the lowest gas price in the area, but I saw the Circle K on Davis was $3.19 vs Sheetz $3.20.

The Circle K on davis near McCrimmon has always been pretty cheap since it opened.

Sheetz on NC55 @ Kit Creek is under construction now. Definitely not open. They're doing a lot of earth moving and they have a long way to go. Maybe a year?

I was looking at the development approvals and evidently a hotel is supposed to go next to Sheetz at some point.
