I just moved here from California and am looking to find film students to help me with project work that I do.

Can anyone recommend the best places to find film students in the area? I know there is Duke and UNC but are there smaller schools in the area that might be helpful. I pay (shocker). I just need to find the students.

As you can imagine, finding them in California was simple!

Thanks!

The Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham (located in the American Tobacco Campus in Durham, it's a branch of The Art Institutes) might be what you're looking for in terms of smaller schools. Aside from that, there's also the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, about 1.75 hrs away.

Duke has a Documentary Studies major - you might try there for interested students.

Post an ad up on Craigslist under "Gigs" and you'll probably get some responses. There's also an art school in North Raleigh where they teach animation, camera filming, sound affects, etc, but I can't recall the name of the school at the moment. We're not too far from Wilmington where many popular TV shows are filmed and sometimes they even come to Raleigh to shoot scenes, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding suitable candidates around here.
