I've gotten advice that my old-fashioned (and old) propane gaspack HVAC unit is less efficient than heating with all electric HVAC. Obviously, just updating the unit in general will result in savings, but now I'm wondering: should I consider going all electric? Anyone done this? What were your results?
If you have about 1500 square feet to heat, how much is your electric every month?

I have also heard of the plans for expansion in the south, but not in the immediate region. Charlotte makes sense. This is from a buyer for A Southern Season who is clearly excited about what expanding does for her sales!
They did open a new store in the Charleston area in Sept and the article mentions other locations.

It's funny because I've only lived in Chapel Hill and for a short time (under two years) but the two times I've gotten asked directions it was to ask where Southern Season is. One time it looked like a family (I believe they had SC plates) and the other time it was a group of women who clearly came from out of town. So it seems like the store is attracting out-of-towners.
What they should consider doing is opening up a seasonal store somewhere in Raleigh/Cary and sell some of their their best selling products for the holidays. I love that store and try to get our there once during holidays, but if there were one closer, I'd probably go more often!
How cool. I remember the first time I went there and we met this famous chocolatier who was signing his boxed chocolates. It'd be cool to bring that sort of selection to W. Cary
