Hello. I've always heard about amazing Resturants in NYC that have 8 course meals and wine pairing, etc.

I would love to try this and I was curious if anyone knew of a place like this in the Triangle area?

Thanks

St. Jacques does occasional wine dinners, though the do 5 courses. They just had one this weekend. Keep an eye on their website (Saint-Jacques French Cuisine) for the next. The owners, Lil and Lori, are fantastic. Give them a call and ask about options for an 8 course meal.

Herons at the Umstead in Cary also offers a five course tasting menu. I haven't been, but their reputation is very good.

2nd Empire and the Angus Barn both have chef's table options, which might be more flexible.

And a 3 course meal is not good enough?

Maybe Fearrington House? They have a tasting menu but I don't remember exactly how many courses. It's great though!

Carolina Inn's restaurant, The Crossroads, and Il Palio at the Sienna in Chapel Hill both offer 5 course meals. I think it's a special event thing with Il Palio, but a regular event at the Crossroads.

The 5-course at Herons is quite good.

I think you've answered your own question...

(Raleigh =/= NYC, despite how badly so many wish it were so)

Check out Yamazushi in Durham. Amazing 8 course traditional Japanese dinner. Pricey!!! But good for a very special occasion. The hubs and I really enjoyed.
