I tried to find another thread to answer this question so if its out there, I could not find it. Please dont yell at me! :-) I want to take my granddaughter out to see some pretty christmas lights in Durham. Is there anyplace special I can go or any displays downtown? Thank you!

The Triangle Christmas tree challenge is going on right now. They nearly 60 trees on display done by area non-profits. Its on the lawn of the DPAC. There are also lights over at American Tobacco.

Yes, the ECU student that lives here does an awesome job. When you pull-up there is a sign telling you to put your radio on whatever station he transmits to, and the lights are in sync with the music.

On this recommendation, we checked this house out last night. It was AWESOME! Most of the houses on the street and nearby are decorated, but this place is by far the most amazing. The whole house and yard is lit up, and the lights play in sync with different songs. My toddler thought it was neat, too.

I saw some beautiful lights when I was caroling the other night in the Watts Hospital neighborhood around Club Blvd.
