Earlier this year, I believe the N&O said it should be something like 150 sold in NC by the end of the year.

I believe it. It's on my short list for my next car. But... since my current is less than a year old... well, gotta wait for it to be at least a year and a half or two old before I get another one.

My NEWEST car is a 2003 model, now 11 years old. Does this mean it IS okay for me to get a Tesla?

Only if I get one as well, as my newest car is a 1998 model

Well gee if you put it THAT way.

In all seriousness, I love the car and would buy it in a heartbeat but the pricing is just too high for me even if I sell 2 of my cars that get poor mileage and are aging. Maybe in a few years when some of these come off their first 3 years and are half the value...

If they'd just hit that 35k base target for the S. That was what the speculation suggested.

The S will never hit $35k base, but the E in 2015 may.
