Not surprised at all. I went to HHGregg in Greensboro back in 2012 and there was hardly any customers there and the employees couldn't be bothered to help. I left and went to Best Buy, which had a much better inventory.
That was the first and only time I've ever been in an HHGregg. I'm not losing sleep over it.
Why is it every time I drive more than 10 miles, I see at least one example of the slow demise of courtesy? What happened to our world to make it so apathetic?

In light of the closing, have you had a chance to drop in any of the local HHGregg's to see if they have an mega deals? I looked online but didn't see any huge savings.
Tried the new-to-OTC XYZAL allergy medication starting Saturday after Claratin had stopped working altogether. I feel like I don't even have allergies now. It's incredible to feel this way in April!
concerning stores liquidating:
the last five things i bought (other than groceries and gas)
were on Craig's List, Amazon, or in a thrift store.
example: a camouflage cap at Dick's was $14 on markdown.
the OCIM in Hillsborough had one for 50 cents.
hang-tag still on it.
