Just throw a bucket of cold water on him. The man can ruin a basketball game with his mouth.

Big Weather said that if we get at least 2 inches of rain from this storm....2018 will officially be the wettest year on record at RDU.

That distinction currently belongs to 1996 when both Bertha and Fran brought huge rainfall totals in peak hurricane season.

I don't know where fresh nuts in the shell in up, but they don't end up in the grocery store. Been totally disappointed with freshness for several years with all the brands I've tried...walnuts, brazils, pecans, almonds and hazels

I seem to remember seeing them at TJ's or Costco in the past few weeks, but it may have been somewhere else. It was nostalgic seeing them as they were always at my grandparent's for the holidays.

I don’t have a problem finding them. They’re always stale and dried up. I’ll check Costco’s. I didn’t see them earlier in the season.

Random thought of the day as I traverse
into work this rain drenched morning is
actually two thoughts. Both used as
nouns and not as verbs for my grammatical
friends. 'Hustle and Bustle'. Oh we
hear hustle so very much on our daily walk
through life. All of our favorite sport stars
hustle so we go that one. But in our Christmas
season we are reminded of 'Bustle'. Uncle
Webster says its means, "excited activity and movement".
What a great way to exclaim the days leading up to the
main event. Christ-mas, so as we close in on Ole Saint
Nick's day remember as you travel the triangle to not
only Hustle but to Bustle. If you can't get excited about that fact
it can be a very long year in between Christ-mases. So in short,
Ho! Ho! Ho! Your way around and be Merry and Bright to all you
encounter. After all we are all brothers and sisters.
Merry Christ-mas and Feliz Navidad........

I haven't gotten any nuts this year Poggly, but have had decent luck with Harris Teeter in the past. Might pick up a bag for Christmas morning for nostalgia's sake. Santa always left us some in a big bowl.

Diamond brand nuts in the shell are the standard for grocery stores. They were fine for years, but the last few they've tasted like old crop. So have other brands I've tried. I like sitting at the counter and cracking nuts just for eating. Kind of theraputic somehow.

Definitely more fun if you have to work for it.

It has been so pleasant, so lovely to drive along 440, particularly 440 West, without any slowdowns as all of the RTP'ers take their 2 week holiday break... that will soon be coming to an end unfortunately *sheds tear*
