Yes it did and I came home from work Monday afternoon to
find a 60' oak tree on the ground in my backyard. As luck would
have it, it missed my garage, outbuilding and chicken coop by
about ten feet each so I got lucky! It couldn't have fallen in a better
place! Now I'm hoping to find someone to cut it up for all the
free firewood?

Nearly eight years after I bought the house, it finally happened! My dog was bitten in the face by a copperhead. I knew this day was coming. She's a big droopy face but after an overnight stay at the emergency vet should be fine with pain meds and antibiotics.

Unfortunately the snake is nowhere to be found.

Awww, I'm sorry NM. BTDT. Our dog has been bitten 3 times. She was fine. The one where she got bitten in the face did lead to a lot of edema for the next several days after that. It took awhile to for that to resolve, but the pain seemed to be better the next day. I think they process the venom a lot quicker than humans. Hope she feels better soon. And maybe she'll learn not to mess with snakes. It took my dog three times, but I think she figured it out now. She figured out the yellow jackets right away.
