This is about as random as they get. One of my fellow railfans gave me
a heads up that tonight's CSX Q031 was 15,148' long and only had two engines
for the power. That's almost three miles of train. I would hate to be the crew
on that one, especially the conductor!
Overjoyed by the stay-at-home asynchronous learning days for my WCPSS elementary schoolers. Nothing like screaming meltdowns trying to get my attention-deficited youngest to log in to 10 links on a Google doc and complete tasks because the teacher “didn’t tell me to do that,” or “I can just do that when I’m back in class...” or my oldest finishing her work in under 30 minutes and then both wanting to play games they found through links provided by the counselor that subsequently linked to games or videos that are not remotely age appropriate, and with no ability to filter out through the WCPSS accounts. Again, I got exactly zero work done myself today!
I go thru periods of insomnia. Getting up in the wee hours and going outside to stand on the deck and look out on the night. Lately, presence of low flying objects in neighborhood, flashing lights. Def. not plane or helicopter, what were they? Began to think they were UFOs... started to mentally compile list of pros/cons of leaving this planet. You know you are tired of the current global environment when you begin to eagerly consider your future as an alien abductee...
Found out today from a neighbor that other neighbors are flying drones in the neighborhood. Hopes dashed.
