Does anyone live in this new neighborhood in Durham? Do you love it? Do you have a basement or 3rd floor? I'm finally closer to my goal of home ownership, and planning to start the process in June. I really liked Brightleaf, but think I'm in love with Chamberlynne. Are you guys loving it?

Chamberlynne will steal your soul. Careful with that axe, Eugene! Go for the downtown Durham area where there is much more character!

I do, it's awesome! There are some basement lots in the new phase but mostly 3rd floors. We looked at Brightleaf as well but we liked the location better at Chamberlynne. Only problem we've had is getting prompt response on warranty fixes, but given what I've heard from other new home owners, this is not necessarily away from the norm. People are friendly and it's very quiet. If you have anything specific to ask let me know.

@X-Ravin, is the neighborhood kid friendly. I have a 5 and 7 year old. Which model did you choose?

Oh yeah there are lots of kids. I live on a Cul de Sac and there are 6 kids on our street alone. They have just constructed the playground and will be adding a basketball court soon. We chose the Donovan. Looked at the Pemberton originally but decided we didn't want/need that much house. Most of our neighbors have the same layout as the model.

We just submitted a contract last month. At that time, we were told that there are no plans for a community pool but you can join Woodcroft or Hope Valley Farms.

@billunc, which plan did you choose. I made another visit today, and I really liked the Pemberton.

We chose the Joyner plan, it fits our needs better with the master bedroom being downstairs.
