Can someone recommend a good body shop to fix a scratch that went down to the metal?
I'm so aggravated. My next door neighbor got a new countertop and the guys cut the granite in their driveway, which is right next to my driveway, and my car - there's a scratch in my car that wasn't there before. The guy laughed in my face (literally) and told me he didn't do it, but I know that scratch wasn't there this morning. Furious, but also want to get it fixed before it rusts. I haven't even had this car a year! FURIOUS.
I called the company and left a voice mail, but without proof there's probably not much I can do.
Sigh.

Body Shop recommendation
Thought I would offer a recommendation of a body shop in downtown raleigh, king's auto service.
They are at 1039 North West Street Raleigh, NC 27603 and can be reached at (919) 834-0748.
I have been there in the past with my "old" ford explorer.
They diagnosed my problem accurately and fast.
They should give you an honest estimate for your body work.

My car was hit by a shopping cart in Harris Teeter parking lot. Scratch and dent. I took my car to the dealer and worked with their scratch and dent guy and he did a great job. It's a nice low cost option that may work for you. Every dealer has one of these guys at the place certain days each week.
BTW, Harris Teeter paid for the repair I was very happy with them. I originally spoke to the manager to see if they had video cameras in the lot so that I could attempt to see who was too lazy to push their card back to the corral. Instead he came out to see what happened and offered to have their insurance pay for it.

Thanks both! My dealer told me since it went down to the metal that I should take it to a body shop. The one they mentioned has mixed reviews.
Glad that worked out for you! I'm going to call my insurance adjuster to see if there's any hope of having the granite company pay for it, but I'm not hopeful since the guy flatly denied doing it. I know they did, the scratch absolutely wasn't there yesterday, but that won't get me paid, sigh. For now I have clear nail polish over it.
Ironically, the money I'd use to get this fixed would have gone toward my new countertop.

Foster's Auto Body without question. Probably needs to paint the entire panel. They do great matching.

I've used Coats Auto Body & Paint several times before and they always do amazing work. They'll even work with you in terms of costs if necessary.
