I wish I had some of the strong, healthy posters here to help me with this "project." I can't believe they are being so obnoxious about it. ;-0

LOL you people crack me up. I never would have thought of a ladder on a fence is "an eye sore".

... Also wars with neighbors never end well. As a former HOA President, trust me on that one.

I guess, at what point do you draw the line of people placing their property on the property of others? Because that is likely what is happening here. If the ladder is not unsightly, there is no reason it should not be within the fence of the people who own it.

The HOA Manager sent me this email today because the ladder is still there on the back side of their fence. By the way, my ladder is under my deck and is impossible to see unless they are standing on the very edge of their property. I can see their ladder from ANY window or door on either story of my house. It's ridiculous and their position that it's not a violation is in direct contrast to her first statement that the "back side of their fence is not inside their property line."

When viewing their property, I could not see this ladder from the street nor could I see your ladder from the street. I was sent a picture of your ladder that they can see as well as their ladder that you can see. If they did not have a fence up, you would see it from the back yard. After reviewing the documents and discussing with the Board, this does not appear to be a violation of the Covenants. If it is located on your property, please contact them directly to have it removed.

I'm looking forward to the market turning around so I can sell and move. Of course, I will disclose that I live next door to royalty.

You have to look at your survey and determine whether or not their ladder is on your property.

The fence is their property and their "logic" is the ladder is connected to their fence, and now the HOA Manager seems to have washed her hands of the matter just because they are foul-mouthed bullies.

I just need to move. The stress of being sick and injured for so long and living between these people and the 30+ something that refuses to do anything but party all the time is wearing me out at an exponential rate.

Post a "free ladder" ad on Craigslist. Put it by the curb!

You are funny! I still have a feeding tube in and can't lift more than about 10-15 lbs at the moment. Thanks for the laugh.
