I thought the snow/whatever wasn't supposed to start until 7pm -ish? I would be surprised if schools let out early tomorrow. I am guessing no school on Wednesday and a 2 hour delay on Thursday though. My opinion. Taking bets?

Snow, please come to Durham this time! Including the west side and please include Chapel Hill.

Kind of a bummer that I want the snow so my dog can run around her fenced yard and play in it, and as I type this she is having minor surgery after breaking her dew claw and may end up with doctor's orders of on-leash only :-/

Last set of morning model guidance is in and models continue to converge on a wetter (actually whiter) solution. Will likely be increasing snow amounts slightly and expanding accumulations a bit further west. More details soon...

I will be keeping my eyes on the weather. We leave FL at 11am Wed to head to Savannah GA then on to Raleigh on Thurs. Picked a great time to move. NOT!

WRAL is calling for the snow to start around 4pm in this area. I am guessing Wake County will close schools early. Since it is coming around the evening commute, I am sure they are thinking of 2005.

Looks like east of here may be in for a real walloping! How much snow removal equipment do they have in Fayetteville, Goldsboro, Greenville, Rocky Mount and Wilson?

I think some of our worst snow storms came on the heels of nice weather as in today. WRAL noon news said 3pm it will start in this area. I am thinking 8-12" for us. 1-2' for east/SE of here.

I'm currently seeing a forecast for 4" - 6" starting maybe as early as 2PM tomorrow. (20% chance of snow at 2PM increasing to 80% by 5PM)

Funny thing is we need bread, eggs and milk. We ran out of all of them today. Now we might be one of those people at the grocery store this evening
