OK in all seriousness, last year they had an early release planned, and at the last minute the weather moved in earlier than expected, so they had to move up the closing by an hour, which caused all kind of problems for those of us with kids at schools that were literally closing in 10 minutes. AND - if the school doesn't serve lunch, it doesn't count as a day, so I think they are afraid of being caught in the same situation and then not even having the day count anyway. Last year they were thowing lunch down their gullets at 9:45 a.m.
And Greg Fischel said that if you will be in the blue area on the map you probably shouldn't go to work. If they don't want adults driving, they certainly don't want busloads of kids on the roads.
Did it start snowing yet? Or is the storm coming tomorrow?
Snowageddon starts tomorrow afternoon these are just crunch numbers the NWS used of likely totals.
The storm system hasn't even form yet, but computer models are having a hay day.
And a Saturday makeup day already planned this weekend. Nope, wont ruin our weekend because wcs poor planning. We've already had 2 or 3 teacher workdays this year. Wont be sending the kids on Saturday. Our kids both have b-day parties to attend.
I've got you all beat with your eggs, milk, and bread. We've got cases of Girl Scout Cookies here. Thin Mints, anyone?
Vast array of Micro-Brews, a nice stack of firewood, and multiple changes of winter cloths to play in, so i can stay dry and warm.
