A friend of mine over near NCMA said it's snowing. I haven't really gotten up to look outside because I was finishing up a project for work...

All done. Time to go look!

Sounds like sleet here near Falls Lake, but nothing seems to be hitting the ground. I stood there and couldn't see or feel anything but could hear something?

Very light flakes here in western wake. I have to squint to see them.

I'm just going to make my own snow. Or chipped ice, or something.

Getting some precipitation now in Holly Springs. I see tiny dots of snow floating around. Had to stand up next to the window and look really hard just to see it.

Nothing, nothing, nothing in Chapel Hill. Kids are getting very restless.

Few flakes here in south Cary. The snowfall total is still unclear but they certainly blew the timing forecast. On the other hand, Atlanta got hit unexpectedly. Check out the Google traffic map of the city. It's a pure red blob.

I heard that parts of GA, AL, and TN are dealing with a similar scenario to what happened in Wake Co in 2005. A friend in Chattanooga said it took her 3 hrs to go 12 miles to pick her son up from school. I also heard something about folks having to shelter in place in Birmingham. The Deep South gets a deep freeze - CNN.com

Coulda been us, but instead I'm dealing with a very disappointed 10 yr old.
