Thank you all for your suggestions.
So many variables making it difficult for us currently. One thing I felt was both of us can drive say 20-30 minutes to our work place whenever we live. I think being so far and with no idea about the place, I am trying to find as much I can , my wife will be completing the residency in june and we heard this is the right time to find a job for her , so checking out with recruiters. Seems like RTP area is tight for physician . many recruiters are offering position in greensboro, winton-salem , rocky mount etc not sure how feasible it would be to commute, for accommodation she wants to live closer to her work so I will be driving most of the distance but don't want an hour+ drive.

The only fix things is I will be working in IBM in RTP and won't mind driving around 30 -40 minutes.

For activities we will sure like to go to mountains last year we visited smoky mountain and found a nice place , we like biking, hiking, nice dining, clubbing etc. We are from India but been in USA for 8+ years in various parts like bay area, redmond/seattle, boston, baltimore, iowa city etc and initial year or so goes to make good friends but its alwasy easier to be friends with when they are generally in same professions ...no kids right now so school are not that important.

Once again I welcome all your suggestions ..
thanks
ramz
