My daughter will be turning 3 this Fall and we are looking for a preschool program for her. We'd like to find something that has no religious components, curriculum, daily blessings, songs, etc. We'd also like a true preschool program rather than a day care with an education component. We're looking in North Raleigh. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Hi, I was curious what you found...what places were your top choices? We've considered a Montessori preschool, they are just so pricey. We agree with their teachings, style and love that they are open to cloth diapers, early potty training and uncommon families.
I'm interested in this topic as well. Anyone have any suggestions? I have a daughter who will be welcome at a family friend's preschool when she turns 3 in 2017, but I would like a part-time program for her during the coming school year.
We ended up enrolling our daughter (2 at the time) into Language Planet Montessori in North Raleigh. She is currently 2.5 yrs old and LOVES it there - she took to the teachers very quickly (they are European), she has thrived with their cirriculum (counts to 20, knows her ABCs and loves learning), and she enjoys her classmates. The schedule each day is anticipated, but is fluid based on the season, holiday or what they are studying. They eat lunch there and get to play outside. You can enroll in 3, 4 or 5 half days (9am-1pm). The language exposure is topping on the cake!
I had the exact same criteria when I was shopping around for PreK for our toddlers. We chose Language Planet as well and we truly could not love it more! My two sons go there and love it!
Wow - I'd never heard of that one. It sounds really great! It's probably just a bit too far in the wrong direction for us, though, since Big Kid will be starting K toward downtown. Glad to hear about a new option, though.
Speaking of languages, has anyone tried L'Ecole, the French-language preschool?
