For now. There needs to be a plan for roads and schools first.
Or get the developer to pitch in to accelerate the morrisville pkwy to 540 connector and then past MPES.

That would help.

I think everyone who opposes new projects for West Cary should say how long they have lived here.
(Excluding you, Redzin !)

It seems like everyone in West Cary wants to be the last one there. To me Cary was overly congested well over ten years years ago.

Does anyone know if there are plans in the works to build new schools in West Cary as a means of managing the current (and imminent worsening) congestion?

I think Cary started to become very congested right around the time the economy tanked in 2008 or so. It was already growing fast, but the recession drove more people here who had been living in more expensive areas of the country.

That's what the issue is that's holding up this latest project. Cary's rapid development of new homes (and collection of more tax money) isn't getting us much back from the school board in the way of funding for new and existing schools.

The issue is that people need to put pressure on the Wake Co Commissioners and School board to do their jobs and build the schools that are needed.

What happened to the plans to build a new elementary school and middle school in west Cary? Wake co was looking at a piece of land near Amberly? Also, a new high school near Saxonbury near Green Level Church Road. Anyone know the latest on these projects?

Green Level High will be at the corner of Roberts Rd and Green Level Church Rd. I think WCPSS also has room on that property for two more schools (middle and elementary).

There is also a new elementary school going in at O'Kelly Chapel and Yates Store, in the SE quadrant. I read that in an article (http://www.carynews.com/2014/05/08/3...hool.html?rh=1)
