I love dogs, but I wouldn't take mine to where a bunch of filthy homeowners hang out

I was working a girl scout cookie booth at the Cary Lowe's on Walnut this weekend and I saw lots of dogs going in there. Not sure if anyone is actually enforcing this.

I remember the day all my kids (I have 4) were finally in school and I could go into stores WITHOUT having to hold someone's hand!

So...why would I want to now drag a dog everywhere I go?!!

There was a story on 20/20 or one of those shows a few weeks back, saying how people lie about their dogs being service dogs so that they can bring them everywhere they go. I guess I just don't understand why you WANT your dog with you all the time?

My dog must not be the best company!!!

Vicki

My dog loves to ride along when I run errands..
If those are night time errands I feel safer with a large dog !!
If it is summer we are often coming or going from some outside activity
like fishing or a hike and the dog is with us..So it's nice to eat outside somewhere that the dog can lay at our feet if it's allowed and far enough away from others that I don't think it would bother them..

But with all that said, I put people first so I try to think of it from a point of view of someone that is allergic
to dogs or afraid of dogs..

I love my dogs more than life itself, they truly are my whole world. But for their safety and mine I would never take them to a store just to take them "out". There are places specifically for dogs. Use them.

Actually its probably more for my safety than theirs that I dont take them out, since if anyone's dog or anyone themselves hurt my dogs, Id kill them. So who would take care of them if I were in jail?

I just hope they banned that dude in the news photo I posted earlier in the thread. That guy is a kennel cough risk if I've ever seen one.
