My wife and I rent in Morrisville and are having a house built now in Morrisville. We absolutely love it!! So close to everything and still retains some of that small town charm. This area is really building fast so that charm will eventually go dissapear but it still has a lot of farmland which we love. We are from New York so we were looking for a slower pace and a change so this area works great for us. We highly recomend Morrisville!!!
I live on the border of Cary/Morrisville (technically in Cary) and have property in Morrisville. I believe it's an ideal location in terms of proximity to jobs in RTP and well ranked Wake County public schools. I don't notice the airplane noise and certainly happy that there are more shops (over by Morrisville-Carpenter and Davis). Especially glad to see the 24-hr Kangaroo gas station, as I have always had to drive a couple miles out of my way to gas up (NC-54 and Morrisville Pkwy) before it opened.
I was looking at joining the police force in Morrisville, NC and just wanted to get some feedback on the crime rate and how safe it is to live in Morrisville. I will be by myself with a 3 year old. Can Anyone offer any advice?
I don't have evidence to support it, but my feeling is Morrisville's about as safe as you're going to get in a growing metro area like this. It's just a nice community overall. It's very laid back and extremely safe.
We've had to call the police a couple of times, but only because our stupid neighbors were playing their stupid video games until 3:00 and 4:00am and management told us to, lol. That's about as bad as it's been for us.
When we moved to the area two years ago, there was a very nice young Morrisville police officer living in the apartment next to ours. He worked with the canine unit (actually I seem to recall he WAS the canine unit), and seemed to like his job quite a bit. Morrisville, and the surrounding areas of Cary are very quiet. If you check the police blotter in the weekly Cary paper, most crimes are minor.
