Coming out to start work with a company tomorrow and hoping someone can refer me some good places to eat and shop at that are on the "clean" side of things. I don't want to eat fast food for a week

I know there is a sprouts, but I'm looking for any other stores or places to eat that are priced well and not the traditional high calorie restaurant.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner ideas would be great!

Whole Foods has a "Health Starts Here" 4 for $4 at the deli case - you can choose from a variety of salads that are vegan and have no added oil or salt. It's my go to meal when I want something very healthy and don't feel like cooking.

Off of the top of my head, I'd recommend:

Irregardless Cafe
Fiction Kitchen
Remedy Diner

All three of these establishments are vegetarian/vegan friendly and definitely have healthy options. Irregardless is pretty much a Raleigh institution and is a great restaurant.

In terms of grocery stores, Whole Foods and Earthfare will likely be your best bets, but don't discount Fresh Market either. There's also the NC Farmer's Market.

You can eat clean at any fast food joint. Trust me, I lost mostly 30+ pounds eating lunch everyday at fast food joints.

All fast food places list their calories and you can select based off that...

I would recommend Sweet Tomatoes to everyone! It is a buffet though, so some people can't handle the temptation. They do have great food.

Calories have absolutely nothing to do with clean eating. Clean eating (correct me if my definition is different than yours, OP) is eating foods that don't have added ingredients that are not food. Nearly impossible to find in fast food. Although, Jason's Deli is pretty decent in the "fast food" category. Most of their processed foods are organic. My kids like it, but it's not really my thing. :-) The free ice cream is probably the clincher on that one, though.
