We will be moving to the area sometime in the next few months. We have had numerous visits and have decided on the North Raleigh area. Looking for some suggestions on a good neighborhood. We are a family of 4 with two small children (4&6). Looking to spend between 400-500 , 4-5 bedrooms, home built within last 7-10 years, good schools, neighborhood with lots of children, playground, walking trails. I know that's a lot but any suggestions are greatly appreciated. We are not opposed to renting for a while so any suggestions on that end are also appreciated.

Falls River and Bedford sound like exactly what you want. Both near intersection of Falls of Neuse and Durant.
Wake Forest has some good places, too, that give you more house for the money but you are further north.
Oakcroft, right next to Bedford. It is a smaller neighborhood, but fits your description exactly.
