Of course my drama queen needs purple knee socks for tomorrow night's opening.

I went straight to Target but they have taken out all the knee socks in favor of spring anklets. I will check at Walmart but I don't think they have bright colors of knee socks.

Where would you shop for such a thing?

I own about a dozen pairs of Knee/soccer socks and have bought them all from Ross. Adidas brand, usually run for about $3/two pairs.

yes, check Dicks or Omega. I see all the girls on DD's soccer team sporting all kinds of colored knee socks (they're soccer socks but would still work).

Yup, though they probably won't have purple. I wear soccer and baseball socks in the winter time for cold feet. I have some red soccer socks and actually tried to dye them another color and they seem to be some kind of polyester that won't hold dye.

It may be easier just to find regular knee socks and dye them.

(Very familiar with theatrical emergencies!)

Thank you!!!! I went to Dicks and found some really nice Reebok knee socks in a three pack. One was plain purple with a stripe, another was black and purple stripes and the third was tye dyed. They are actually long enough to go all the way to the knees of an average sized woman (Most knee socks don't) And they are not too thick to go in character shoes (which soccer socks would be!)

She'll wear them all...she thinks wearing knee socks with a skirt is really sexy (thank you, Lea Michelle on Glee)

Now the show can go on!
