Contact a realtor that you get through a personal reference. They usually have good connections and know the contractors that will do a good job for you. We had to have this done on a home we sold, and it was the realtor who gave us the name of her plumber who does that kind of work (since we were already gone), and he did a great job at a reasonable price. It won't help you any here because that was in another state.
Good luck.

I don't know of anyone here. When we were in MA we had to have this done to the house we sold tho. It cost us about $1,000.

Default radon remediation cost

KellyCrash- you got a good price in MA.! We're selling our house in Florida (small, 1300sf golfcourse home, on slab) and moving to Rougemont and paid $1800. for the mitigation--- basically boring a two small holes in the slab and installing PVC pipes and fans to draw the gas up and out roofvents. As stated, a good realtor should have a list of certified mitigation folks.

Also, go to the home improvement forum here in C-D, and search on radon. You'll see some helpful, very informative posts.
