I agree that the food selection at Sheetz is several notches above typical convenience store faire.
My only two pet peeves about Sheetz are they have some of the most obnoxious pop music piped into the speakers at the pumps and the gas comes out of the pumps much more slowly than most stations for some reason (at least at the locations I've been to).
And they emailed this... "As a valued MySheetz Card® holder we would like to give you a FREE M·T·O® 6″ Sub and a FREE Sheetz Bros. Coffeez® Specialty Drink in celebration of our new store opening at 4000 Lufkin Rd, Apex, NC. To redeem your offer, stop in to our new location and use your MySheetz Card® at check out. The offers are electronically loaded to your card and are only valid until 4/16/14".
Not sure what an M-T-O sub is but there you have it!
Made To Order Thats a good deal. Go to one of the three menu computer screens and select what you like, if you make a mistake, there is a back button; It will confirm each item added. After you confirm a receipt will print with your order number and loud beep to notify the cook. Go to cashier hand your card and order number receipt. She will scan then go to pickup station and wait on number called.
I find it hilarious that a Sheetz opening is considered an event. Don't get me wrong, I love getting my gas there (plus they're a rarity around here in that they offer milk dispensers for their coffee) but it would never be something I'd have on my radar. Does anyone know why they're suddenly expanding so much in our area?

Wawa is chasing their established customer base. And while many move from the Northeast to the Triangle, way more retire to Florida.

Im thinking for three reasons. This late summer the new distribution center will be open in Burlington.
The other Sheetz in this state store sales are real good.
Lastly, 'Quick Trip' is expanding their market in southern region of the state.
