Here's my over the phone experience with Alarm Man. I've done enough research to know that doing a "reset" or power off does not work with my system like it does with others. The woman I spoke with was nice and said it would be $95 to reset the system. She told me they wouldn't charge if they couldn't reset it. But she never talked about replacing any system boards which my research says might be necessary. I have an appointment with Omni Security scheduled for next Wednesday. I'll let you know how it goes.
Hey, if they guarantee a fix or it's no charge, why not give Alarm Man a shot at the reset job.
We have Alarm Man and I can't say enough good things. Small "honest" family business. They have troubleshooted many a things with me over the phone that other companies wanted to send people to our house with a service charge
Alarm Man wants to charge $200 plus $95/hr for programming the new circuit board (because I'm not getting monitoring). OMNI wants to charge $350. I'm still leaning towards OMNI because of the builder recommendation and the fact that their office is in Raleigh.
Thanks. Do you have any pets? I wonder how you can monitor your house if you have pets running around?
Sure if you don't get motion detectors, perimeter coverage should work fine.
