We are looking at some homes in Stony Bend neighborhood in Wake Forest. A couple of them back up to Stony Hill Road. Just curious about this area - how busy is Stony Hill Road, specifically on weekends and in the evenings (aka when we'd be home and spending time in the backyard). Is the road traffic excessive and/or unbearably noisy? Or very tolerable?

The homes all have high privacy fences, so I'm not worried about seeing the traffic or children being in danger. I'm specifically curious just about the road noise.

Anyone live in that area that can provide input?

I don't live on Stony Hill Road but we travel it frequently. We use it to cut across from Purnell to 98. I personally don't recall Stony Hill ever having anything that I would consider 'traffic'. Back before there was a light at Stony Hill/98 it could get backed up a few cars just because it was hard to get out onto 98 but since the light was installed we've had no problems.
