A little over a week until I run my first half marathon! Due to the crummy weather this winter and being out of town more than expected I'm not really where I wanted to be training-wise. I know I'll finish though, and can always do another one to improve my time. :-)
I am doing the half too and I'm in your same boat training wise, though I have done a few before. Went ahead and signed up for the North Hills half in June. Hopefully I will be better by then.
I'm doing the half as well. This will be my second half. I also did a full back in Novemeber. Yup, I'm in the same boat... Poor weather and lack of motivation have left me what I like to call "undertrained". I know I will finish and I wouln't harm myself, but I don't expect my best time. I too may sign up for the North Hills race as I plan to get out there and run more now that the weather is on the up.
I'm really looking forward to the race. I've never been in one with 12,000 people before. Here's to having nice weather on race day. Have a good run!
Me too. For those that go, bring your confirmation sheet. They have a place to look up your number and fill one out, but I imagine that it will get pretty backed up.
Also, for parking, it looks like they are closing a few of the decks and selling passes for $7 to park in them. Its not clear which other decks are open as they are closing much of downtown for the initial corral, so some of the decks further up Fayetteville may or may not be accessible. They don't have a map that shows where the decks are, so you'll have to figure that out on your own.
I went ahead and bought one of the $7 parking passes - anything to make Sunday morning less stressful! I also registered for the 2015 R&R full marathon - just call me optimistic!
