We're having a drainage issue with our sloped yard. We recently completed a DIY path project which inadvertently has caused run-off to be "trapped" in a lower part of our yard, resulting in flooding every time it rains. Any recommendations for drainage specialists in the Cary area? I've searched on this board and found the following recommendation from 2012...Nicolas' Hardscapes and DrainageNicolas' Hardscapes and Drainage. Any others? Also, any idea what something like this would cost? French drain, etc.? I'm trying to wrap my brain around it and have no idea what to expect (thousands?). Thanks!
Justusandthekids, did you have any luck finding someone to handle the drainage issue in your yard? We also have a sloped yard and now have sections that are ponding.
Any other recommendations or reviews of companies to handle it? Thanks

Hi Sal_M -
We are still dealing with our issue and after receiving some estimates have had to push it off until spring. We're planning on going with Jay's Lawn and Landscape when we're ready:
We're having a similar issue. We just bought our house in October and it was dry at the time so we didn't notice the drainage issue until later, and now there's a 15 or so ft area that resembles a swamp. I worry that it will lead to a terrible mosquito problem if we don't resolve it. On top of that, there's a smaller separate patch near the septic system that is muddy and this we noticed while looking at the house. Jay's Lawn and Landscape is close to our house so I'm glad you mentioned them and I have contacted them.
NC Drainage does a great job and is locally owned/operated. They even work weekends and early/late, which was super convenient given that I have a desk job and being at home on a Tuesday from 1-3pm isn't exactly in the cards (ahem Time Warner....)
