i guess wont hurt to ask. any update on I-540 construction, toll roads, next board meetings, etc? we're planning to buy house in 2008, need some info on this for decision making...

also, what's the traffic condition going to RTP coming from NE Raleigh around 9am?

There are many threads on this subject. Here is the NCDOT site dedicated to RT 540 progress.

NCDOT: I-540 Raleigh Outer Loop

North East Raleigh is a large area and many roads lead toward RTP. It would help if you could narrow it down a bit more to fully answer your question.

RTP employs a lot of people in the area that live all over the area so many do track from NE Raleigh to RTP. Also, 9am is a popular starting time so roads will be busy. 5PM is a popular time for workers to return back to NE Raleigh and other points so roads will be busy in the opposite directions of the 9AM commutes.

I'm talking about the traffic condition from Capital Blvd corner i-540 going to RTP during rush hour (9am & 5pm). Is it bad?Also, I'm asking on update regarding contruction of i-540 from RTP going to Holly Spring. Have they decided on what to do with that?thanks
