Simple - go live in the #1 dating city, find a mate, marry, THEN move here when you are ready to have kids.
Number one dating city doesn't necessarily mean the number one marrying city. I'm so glad I've been out of the dating scene for 16 years, but I seem to remember it being remarkably difficult to find men who were willing to make a commitment. Such a non-committal culture we live in.
Tell us something we did not already know. lol. Raleigh is a haven for families. Very much husband and wife and 2.3 kids Utopia.
I think the college single scene is probably great as well. Its that after college bracket where things fall away quickly. Raleigh is very comfortable that's the strength of this area. It't just not very exciting. YET! go to the ATlanta, DAllas, and DC's or New Yorks for that then come back and raise a family.
Just like ANY article the media writes, there is SOME truth in it!!!
These lists don't come just from Forbes. There are so many of them that I can't even count! It is almost DAILY that I get some type of notification from clients, friends, co-workers that we made another list of best!

I don't begrudge you folks in the real estate industry and the business these lists bring you. Hell, if I was a realtor, I'd LOVE these things.
LOL.
As a person who lives here, I never am "proud" of them. Maybe back in the 80s I was, but now? I wish they'd focus on someplace else. People already know about this area.

I've lived here way before I became a Realtor. Many of my clients are natives that may be moving up or downsizing. Relocating folks are not the only ones that buy homes!
I love sharing "my town". Even with those just visiting. It does make me feel proud when people comment on the cleanliness and the friendliness.
I also understand many folks don't want more growth but without growth, there is nothing. I came from a town like that. I'm happy for the growth.
Different strokes for different folks!
