My wife has a 2010 Mini Cooper S Convertible that she uses as a 3rd/fun car, and now that it is out of warranty I am looking for an independent mechanic to work on. I've gathered these cars can be troublesome and finicky and, in some respects, are mechanically unique, so ideally I'd like someone that specializes in Minis. Does anyone have any recommendation(s)? Thanks in advance.

We have 2 Minis. Never known either one to be troublesome or finicky to work on, in fact in 5 yrs have only needed routine or reg maintenance. We have used Flow Mini on Capital for warranty and non warranty work, very satisfied each time. Had brakes and tires done at Atlantic Ave Tire and Service on Harrod and Atlantic. Also very good experiences.

I have a 2004 MINI. They have a few idiosyncrasies, even the newer ones.

Try Chris at Euro Motors on Capital Blvd. Used to go by Luxury Auto Service. I assume they changed the name to seem more accessible which is more what they are. Work primarily on BMW and MINI. Changed a Supercharger out for me last year and the pricing was good, Much less than Flow. I could tell he knew and cared about MINIs and he was more than willing to suggest things that were more economical to do now or just as easy to wait until later.

I had a 2010 Mini Cooper Convertable S. I bought it to Cary Bull & Tire Co for service. They had to purchase a special tool just to remove the oil cap - nothing is very "standard" about a mini! But they took great care of mine!!!
