Hi,
My family is moving to Cary in mid-June. My son is leaving his 11u select baseball team which he loves. We are anxious to find a team in the Cary area. Any recommendations? It would be great if a team needed an extra player to fill in during summer tournaments. Any information would be great. Thanks!

Cary Rec league is full, full and full. You could try Apex or Morrisviile. West Raleigh is the big "select" league around here but tough to get in at that age.

Good luck with the move.

I know West Raleigh is in the playoffs for the 9 and under boys. I have neighbors and friends with kids there.

The website nctravelbaseball.com has a section where teams post when they are looking for tournament fill ins. You can also post a player's availability on the site. Once you are here, instructional places like Grand Slam in Raleigh or Performance Academy in Apex have bulletin boards where teams put up flyers. As you would expect most had spring tryouts for summer travel teams but some might have upcoming tryouts for specific tournaments.
